Pink Floyd to Re-Form for Charity?

Is the much mooted Pink Floyd reunion about to become a reality? After all, guitarist David Gilmour has agreed to play one date with Roger Waters on the bassist’s current tour of ‘The Wall’ and the feuding pair put aside their differences to play a number of Pink Floyd classics together at the HOPING Foundation’s charity gig back in July.

Drummer Nick Mason [pictured] seems to think so and the key to such an event would be charity. Speaking to the BBC, Mason said, “I think it would be a very nice way for a band to gently move towards retirement, by doing shows absolutely for charity rather than for more income. In a way the best thing would be to do a number of shows and have some sort of foundation.”

This isn’t the first time that Mason has proposed the idea of charitable reunion shows. Speaking to this writer via Xfm in December 2007, Mason admitted that a reunion remained a very real possibility if a charity was involved. Full Story at Spinner
