Smashing Pumpkins Plan Los Angeles Gig for Record Store Day!

Considering Billy Corgan once worked the counter at a Mom-and-Pop record shop, it makes perfect sense that the Smashing Pumpkins’ creative force will perform with the band in a rare intimate Los Angeles show on Record Store Day, April 17. The first 250 fans who pre-order the group’s new, limited-edition EP, ‘Teargarden by Kaleidyscope Vol 1: Songs for a Sailor,’ at Amoeba Records in Los Angeles that day will be given a wristband providing entry into an exclusive gig later that day at Space 15 Twenty.

“I used to work at an indie record shop so I’ll always have a soft spot for the places where I still go to find the most vital music, whether new or still hidden,” Corgan said in a statement. Pumpkins fans outside of L.A. are also being lured to indie stores across the on April 17 with the promise of a collector’s edition black light poster from the band. Full Story at Spinner
