Sony Music Signs $250 Million Contract for Michael Jackson Recordings!

Sony Music Entertainment just signed a $250 million contract  with Michael Jackson’s estate in what is being called the most lucrative contract in the music industry’s history. The deal, which will include DVD rights, video games, and unreleased recordings of the late pop-star, will last seven years.

According to information on, Sony Music has obtained the rights to up to ten never-before released projects from the late King of Pop. Rob Stringer, the Chairman of the Sony division which will inherit the recordings, said that the unreleased tracks span across a variety of projects in progress that the King of Pop had yet to complete. He added that some may include film, as well as computer games, but that it will not be revealed fully until 2015. Full Story at MNS
