Beatles, Elvis, Door & Madonna Photographs for Auction!

More than 21,000 photographs, slides and negatives of rock icons go on the block Monday at Legendary Auctions in Lansing. Up for grabs are historic shots of the Beatles at Shea Stadium in 1965, the Rolling Stone during the 1981 “Tattoo You” tour, and candids of Elvis the Doors and Madonna.

Another 21,000 images from the Philip Kamin collection will be auctioned at a later date, auction house president Doug Allen said. The rock photographer’s collection is so vast, “it’s hard to get your arms around it,” he said.

Bids begin at $200 for individual photos. The 49 rare, black-and-white shots of the Beatles at their record-breaking performance in New York carries a minimum bid of $10,000. Full Story at
